A love of the beauty of God's creation and a desire to interpret that beauty through drawing and painting have been major factors in my life since childhood. Favorite subjects include landscapes, flowers, and animals. I work in pastel, watercolor, oil and ink in a realitic style. I majored in art at the University of Memphis and have since taken courses from Marcia Leonard, Don Andrews, Alan Flattman, Janet Walsh, Carol Cooper, and Mary Todd Beam. In 2005 my artwork won awards in the Kingsport Art Guild Members Show and the Newell-Hendershot Watermedia Show and was juried in the Virginia Highlands Festival Art Show and the Appalachian Art Show. |
