NYELA HAND COHOON

Nyela Hand Cohoon has always been
a lover of the beauty found in nature
and in the world. She has lived in
and traveled to many places and
observed the beauty found in the
mountains and lakes of East
Tennessee and of the tropical
landscapes and waters of warmer
areas of the country. She also loves
the colors found in varied landscapes
and seacapes and various climates.
She loves the different seasons and
the beauty to be found in each.
Summer with the greenery, warmth
and various water activities; fall with
the crisp air, sunshine on the
multied-colored leaves; winter with
the pure white snow with a crispness
and beauty all its own; and spring
with the blooming of new life and the
pastel colors of the blooms in the
ground and upon the trees. Being an
artist and a photographer is a way
for her to record some of the
beautiful scenes she has noted and
preserve them for others to view.
She is married to Jack Cohoon and
has her studio in their home in
Johnson City, Tn.
